“I’m just so busy” is a statement that I’ve become aware of making lately and it has really got me thinking over the last few days.

What this statement is essentially saying is, “No, I can’t afford to give you any time, that is not my priority”, and therefore, is not important to me. Because really, there are always moments in a day when we have free time – when we watch tv or go to bed early.

It is what we choose to do with this free time that can show us what our priorities are.

What this comes down to is ‘you are not a priority for me’. Which is not a negative thing, but a matter of being authentic in what we say.

So here is my challenge to you this week after watching my video below: Look behind your mind as you hear yourself say the statement “I am too busy”, and instead reframe it in a way that explains your priorities.

Let me know if you’re in, and we can keep each other accountable,
Peter
