The Skillful Mind team want you to be totally satisfied with our service. To assist in our mutual understanding we have created the following policies. None of these policies are intended to contradict or contravene the Australian Consumer Law. Policies are subject to change without notice.

Privacy

All your personal information will remain private and confidential and will not be shared to any third party without the express permission of the owner.

How We Keep Your Information Secure

The staff of Skillful Mind protect Personal Information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification with security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the Personal Information. These include:

  • Physical measures: no personal information is kept in hard copy and any notes are disposed of securely.
  • Technical tools: passwords and encryption using industry best practices.
  • Firewalls and SSL technology to protect your information during transmission.

Meditation Leaders Program

a) Leader Program

When joining this program and choosing the monthly payment option, you are committing to a 15 month Payment Plan with the option to upgrade to a Lifetime payment in one lump sum with a 50% discount applied for each month paid in full.

A trial period exists for up to 30 days from the date of purchase. Once the trial period is over, the payment plan is binding and must be paid in full.

* If you complete your assessment and receive your Skillful Mind Meditation Leader Certification before this 30-day trial period is up, this will cancel the trial period.

b) Short Courses

Payment is required in full prior to access. Access will be available for life.

Retreat Bookings

Reservations are required and subject to availability.

Cancellation / Change Policy — Retreats in Australia

Please let us know at your earliest opportunity if you need to change or cancel your booking.

  • $100 non-refundable deposit payable at time of booking (or full payment if booking within 30 days of retreat)
  • Final payment due 30 days prior to retreat
  • Late payment charges: 10% of outstanding balance
  • Changes/Transfers: $50 fee
  • Cancellations prior to 30 days: $100 fee
  • Cancellations within 30 days: 50% of full retreat cost
  • Cancellations within 10 days: no refund
  • Refunds are not available for non-attendance

All cancellation notices and refund requests must be made in writing via email to bookings@skillfulmind.com.au.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is available from many online providers.

Cancellation / Change Policy — Retreats Overseas

  • Deposit of $500 payable at time of booking (or full payment if booking within 30 days of retreat)
  • Final payment due 30 days prior to retreat
  • Late payment charges: 10% of outstanding balance
  • Cancellations prior to 30 days: loss of deposit ($500)
  • Cancellations within 30 days: 50% of full retreat cost
  • Cancellations within 10 days: no refund
  • Refunds are not available for non-attendance

Risk Warning

The activities within our workshops and retreats — which may include yoga, meditation, and neuro-linguistic programming techniques — involve some risk to participants. Risk is increased if a participant has a pre-existing psychological condition such as anxiety, stress, trauma, or depression, or a pre-existing physical injury. If you have a pre-existing condition, we highly recommend you consult your doctor or medical specialist prior to booking.

All participants who engage in Skillful Mind activities do so at their own risk. Travel insurance is recommended.

If We Need to Cancel a Retreat

If we need to cancel a retreat due to lack of numbers or other unforeseen circumstances, we will try to find another suitable retreat and date, or you will be refunded in full.

Accommodation & Meals

Retreat inclusions (accommodation, meals, linen) will be specified per retreat and confirmed by email at time of booking. Vegetarian options are always available; other dietary requirements including vegan and gluten-free can be accommodated — please advise us at time of booking of any allergies.
